Psychotherapy

For adults experiencing low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, trauma, relational difficulties, loneliness and/or grief.

MY APPROACH

My approach is rooted in psychodynamic therapy, where I offer a safe and supportive space to share what’s on your mind.

I listen closely and work with you to explore the reasons that brought you to therapy and how best to address them. Together, we look not only at easing emotional distress but also at understanding the deeper patterns and feelings that shape your experiences.

In my approach, I also draw on principles from CBT when it may be helpful to develop practical coping skills for navigating life’s challenges while working towards your goals in therapy. By knowing yourself more deeply, you can get better clarity of yourself and what truly matters most to you.

I also invite people to bring any aspects of their identity into therapy, including race, ethnicity, sexuality, political issues, or any part of your culture or self you wish to explore, share, or understand more fully.

The therapeutic relationship we build becomes a vital part of the work. It is a unique kind of relationship, unlike any other, with the focus entirely on you and your growth.

AREAS OF WORK

I work with people who are navigating anxiety, low mood, relationship or family difficulties, loneliness, disordered eating, and the emotional impact of earlier life experiences and from a wide range of social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds. My work is grounded in careful listening, ethical practice, and an awareness of how past experiences can shape present difficulties.
